The Archon Code
Guild Rules
1. Do not break the ArenaNet End-User License Agreement.
2. Do not give Archons Ascendant a bad name. Anything you do while wearing our cape reflects on our guild. Do not engage in, among other things, scamming, overly strong swearing, making racist comments, or using a character with an offensive name.
3. Be a positive and productive member with regards to helping on missions, helping acquire items, etc. You are expected to give as much as you take.
4. Do not jokingly make offensive remarks. The Tribunal, and Sciros in particular, will not be lenient in judging what is and isn't said in jest.
5. Use your "Away" status whenever it is appropriate (that is, when you are going to be away from your keyboard for an extended period of time). Otherwise, people may notice that you are not responding to their chat, assume you are ignoring them, and develop a grudge. Also, minimize the use of "Offline" status. If you are playing PVP and are too busy to talk, it is ok to use "Do Not Disturb" but it is advisable to warn those online ahead of time, again to avoid resentment because folks think they are being ignored.
6. The call for the removal of a member, or the demotion of an officer can be initiated by anyone by sending a whisper or private message to Sciros, who will then proceed accordingly.
7. Anything considered "members only" information cannot be shared outside of the guild.
8. You must be at least 18 years of age to be a member of Arch.
Guidelines
1. If you have an isssue with the guild, bring it to the Tribunal's attention as soon as possible.
2. Use proper grammar and a mature voice in in-game chat. Use of "IM" style chat (e.g. "u r" in place of "you are") is strongly discouraged.
3. If Arch is using a voice chat service, you are encouraged to participate. If you make the choice not to, those who do use it may be given in-game priority in party formation.
Becoming a Member
1. You must make contact with one of the Tribunal in-game. Once you have played enough with him/her, he/she can choose to recommend you as a member to Sciros. Alternately, you can play with Sciros himself, bypassing the need for a recommendation.
2. Sciros conducts an interview with you in order to set some ground rules and get a feel for you as a person. If everything is satisfactory, you will be invited into Arch.
3. As a new member you will have a two-week-long "grace period" during which some otherwise inexcusable behavior may be tolerated, with the intent that this period is enough for you to "learn" to be a good member.
4. Good members are active and helpful. They use their knowledge of the game to improve the playing experience of others. They exhibit good sportsmanship.
Becoming a member of the Tribunal
Members are promoted to Officer (Tribunal) at Sciros's discretion. They can be demoted at any time and for any reason. There is no "easy" or "sure-fire" way to become a member of the Tribunal,
and such positions will likely be filled on the basis of need rather than seniority.
Kicking
1. Breaking any Archon rule will either result in immediate kicking or a stern warning and a "last chance" to remain.
2. There may be other offenses not mentioned in the Rules which prove to be grounds for removal from Arch. These will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the Tribunal.
3. All kicks can be appealed directly to Sciros, but only once. Sciros may uphold the kick or offer membership with a "last chance" to remain.
4. If ArenaNet bans a member of Arch for whatever reason, that member will be kicked.
